You probably have encountered mysterious failures recently on Linux, BSD, |

Darwin and Solaris, either during bootstrap or during update, most likely |

related to something like libintl, libiconv, or some ABI flags eventually. |

It turns out that we had a mess in the profile inheritance "forest", |
| 8 |
resulting in mysteries like bug#574822 [1], which should be fixed now. |

That is, all the 71 (!) profiles eventually selected by bootstrap-prefix.sh |

now have an overhauled inheritance tree, which should be available soon by |
| 12 |
some mirror near you. |

Please test carefully, I'm unable to run 71 different setups ;) |
