Subject: [gentoo-alt] coreutils fails to emerge on SUSE 10
Date: Wed, 26 Dec 2007 10:46:01

After struggling with SUSE 9 for some time I have now moved on to struggle with SUSE
10 :-)

My first attempt started out fine, but came to a halt at the "coreutils" step. The
details are here,

<http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=203363>

and one thing in there is the following:

configure.ac:255: warning: AM_INTL_SUBDIR is m4_require'd but not m4_defun'd
m4/gettext.m4:362: AM_GNU_GETTEXT is expanded from...
configure.ac:255: the top level
configure:52584: error: possibly undefined macro: AM_INTL_SUBDIR
If this token and others are legitimate, please use m4_pattern_allow.
See the Autoconf documentation.

Does anyone have a clue? What does it mean to "use m4_pattern_allow"? And would it be
the right thing to do?
