Hi.

I tried to install Gentoo prefix on Centos 5.9. The installation runs fine
for a long time, but then ends with:

>>> Installing (19 of 19) dev-python/python-exec-10000.1
* checking 0 files for package collisions
>>> Merging dev-python/python-exec-10000.1 to /
>>> dev-python/python-exec-10000.1 merged.
rm: cannot remove
‘/home/abr/gentoo/var/tmp/portage/dev-python/python-exec-10000.1/temp’:
Directory not empty

* Messages for package sys-apps/portage-2.2.8:

* This package will overwrite one or more files that may belong to other
* packages (see list below). You can use a command such as `portageq
* owners / <filename>` to identify the installed package that owns a
* file. If portageq reports that only one package owns a file then do
* NOT file a bug report. A bug report is only useful if it identifies at
* least two or more packages that are known to install the same file(s).
* If a collision occurs and you can not explain where the file came from
* then you should simply ignore the collision since there is not enough
* information to determine if a real problem exists. Please do NOT file
* a bug report at http://bugs.gentoo.org unless you report exactly which
* two packages install the same file(s). See
* http://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Knowledge_Base:Blockers for tips on how to
* solve the problem. And once again, please do NOT file a bug report
* unless you have completely understood the above message.
*
* Detected file collision(s):
*
* /home/abr/gentoo/usr/share/portage/config/make.conf.example
* /home/abr/gentoo/usr/share/portage/config/repos.conf
* /home/abr/gentoo/usr/share/portage/config/make.globals
* /home/abr/gentoo/usr/share/portage/config/sets/portage.conf
* /home/abr/gentoo/usr/lib/portage/bin/emirrordist
* /home/abr/gentoo/usr/lib/portage/bin/phase-helpers.sh
* /home/abr/gentoo/usr/lib/portage/bin/dohtml.py
...
* /home/abr/gentoo/usr/sbin/env-update
* /home/abr/gentoo/usr/sbin/emaint
* /home/abr/gentoo/usr/sbin/regenworld
*
* Searching all installed packages for file collisions...
*
* Press Ctrl-C to Stop
*
* None of the installed packages claim the file(s).
*
* Package 'sys-apps/portage-2.2.8' merged despite file collisions. If
* necessary, refer to your elog messages for the whole content of the
* above message.
>>> Auto-cleaning packages...

>>> No outdated packages were found on your system.

* IMPORTANT: 2 config files in '/home/abr/gentoo/etc' need updating.
* See the CONFIGURATION FILES section of the emerge
* man page to learn how to update config files.

* IMPORTANT: 6 news items need reading for repository 'gentoo_prefix'.
* Use eselect news to read news items.

rm: cannot remove ‘/home/abr/gentoo/tmp/usr/bin’: Directory not empty

Hmmmm, I was already afraid of this to happen. Running
/home/abr/gentoo/bin/bash ./bootstrap-prefix.sh "/home/abr/gentoo" stage3
somewhere failed :( Details might be found in the build log:
(no build logs found?!?)
I have no clue, really. Please find friendly folks in #gentoo-prefix on
irc.gentoo.org, gentoo-alt@l.g.o mailing list, or file a bug
at bugs.gentoo.org under Gentoo/Alt, Prefix Support. This is most
inconvenient, and it crushed my ego. Sorry, I give up.

Any hint on what I can do to get rid of this problem?

Regards
