Hi all,

I'm trying to run a binhost and just ran "emaint -f binhost" to ensure
the Packages file is correct, but when on a client machine I run....

emerge -puKD world

I get....

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies... done!

Ebuilds for the following packages are either all
masked or don't exist:
sys-apps/file virtual/portage

I'm perplexed as sys-apps/file-5.03 and sys-apps/file-5.04 do exist, but
virtual/portage doesn't and I can't see any reference to it, although
the Packages file does say that portage "PROVIDES" virtual/portage.

Any ideas ?

Alan.
