I have gcc-apple-4.0.1 and gcc-fsf-4.1.2 installed. After a decent |

amount of testing I came to the conclusion that FSF gcc doesn't work out |

on OSX, since it misaligns with the kernel, resulting in kernel traps |

when running the produced code. An example is |

indeed, and trying to enable it makes the build fail. gfortran does |

work with gcc-fsf-4.1.2. I recently noticed that gcj (which also works |

with 4.1.2, but not with apple-4.0.1) is a separate package, so maybe we |

can do the same for fortran, because it seems to be a package frequently |

asked for. |
