AIX does not have any autotools that I know of. I have some older versions installed (compiled by hand) but they didn't seem to be the right versions. In any event, I'm past this problem, so that's good. |

Matt's suggestion makes sense. If I look at the solaris bootstrap, m4 |

is bootstrapped before autoconf and friends. What exact error do you |

get? Does AIX come without any autotools at all? |
