Well actually I have seen it on ppc64 and now on a new prefix on amd64. |

Packages that are masked in profile/package.mask appears as masked when |

queued for install (and more than once failing miserably). |

On my ppc64 it guile-2.0 on my amd64 prefix dev-libs/boost-1.58.0 is |

failing to install and after looking it is masked and I haven't unmasked |

it. As a temporary measure I think I will link profile/package.mask in |

etc/portage/package.mask. |
