Same issue with: %% emerge --version Portage (default-prefix/linux/amd64, gcc-4.2.4, unavailable, 2.6.9-55.ELsmp x86_64) Naturally, a valid workaround is to use --color=n as well. I skeptical of a 'trunk problem' because rc1 works fine on my Gentoo Linux box. Portage 2.2_rc1 (default-linux/x86/2007.0/desktop, gcc-4.1.2, glibc-2.6.1-r0, 2.6.22-gentoo-r2 i686) -- gentoo-alt@l.g.o mailing list
