Hello,

I'm trying to emerge dvdrip on gentoo-amd64. I'm stuck with a compile error on
gnome-print-0.37. I'm to sure what part of the log is relevent, I'll try
this:

In file included from gnome-print-master-preview.c:54:
../libgnomeprint/gnome-print.h:5:35: gdk-pixbuf/gdk-pixbuf.h: No such file or
directory
In file included from gnome-print-master-preview.c:54:
../libgnomeprint/gnome-print.h:113: error: parse error before "GdkPixbuf"
make[2]: *** [gnome-print-master-preview.lo] Error 1
make[2]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....

I have two questions:
a) I don't really understand why dvdrip depends on gnome-print
b) IF this dependance is not really a must, is it possible to tell emerge not
to install it and go on with the next package?

And a third question might be: I've installed mplayer-32 to have vmw support.
Would it be possible to install mplayer (64) as well to try acidrip in 64 bit
mode (assuming I can compile acidrip in 64 bit, which I did not try).

The problem with the world is stupidity. Not saying there should be a
capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the
safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?
