I'm wondering where to start looking for a solution to this. Thanks |

Since a set of recent updates, the most notable being Gnome but |
| 6 |
certainly many others also, mythfrontend has started acting strange. |
| 7 |
Anytime I switch the program to where it is watching video - be it |
| 8 |
recorded or live TV - the screen position of the mythfrontend window |
| 9 |
jumps to the upper left corner of my screen. It has never done this |
| 10 |
before, to the best of my knowledge, in the 3 years I've been running |
| 11 |
Myth. |

This only happens when the new function contains video. Switching |
| 14 |
between all the other Myth screens does nothing out of the ordinary. |
| 15 |

I haven't updated Myth although I did rebuild it to see if that |
| 17 |
would fix it but it didn't. |

I tried the MythTV list first. The only response I got was that it |
| 20 |
sounded like a window manager issue. That probably fits with either |
| 21 |
Gnome or maybe some sort of X updates being what started this. |

I suspect that Myth uses some sort of video acceleration that kicks |
| 24 |
in at the point where it starts displaying video. Maybe that's |
| 25 |
involved? |

Anyway, this whole subject is WAY above my capabilities so it will |

likely be a bit of a slog for me to get to the bottom of it and get it |
| 29 |
fixed. Thanks in advance for any ideas about where to look. Some |
