14 Besides being gratifying to know something that we helped with worked,
15 knowing exactly /what/ worked can be most helpful next time someone sees
16 the problem, either experiencing it one's self, or helping someone else
17 with it, as here.

19 Besides, with the list available on the web via gmane and the like,
20 there's always the chance that someone with the same issue will find this
21 discussion months or years later via Google or similar, and the followup
22 report of what exactly /did/ work can then be helpful to an entirely /
23 new/ generation of users! Never underestimate the possible audience of
24 something like this! It could end up being useful to way more people than
25 any of the original participants ever considered likely or in some cases,
26 even possible. =8^)
