In kernel 2.6.20 there'll be a paravirtualizer built in-kernel (KVM |

and requires a decent CPU supporting it (feature called VT - it's highly |

probable your CPU does it). |

You might start off with QEMU+kqemu (works perfectly on my amd64) and then |
