[gentoo-amd64] Kernel headers

All,

I'm running kernel.org's 2.6.28. I would like to unmerge the
kernel-headers (emerge --unmerge linux-headers) and install the 2.6.8
kernel headers instead (cd /usr/src/linux; make headers_install).

But: after an unmerge of the kernel headers, the make headers_install
fails because it can't find kernel headers..

How could I solve this?

Second question: after upgrading kernel headers, do I only need to
rebuild glibc?
