I want to plug a sagem fast800 modem to my gentoo box. |

I compiled the module ueagl-atm provided by the kernel 2.6.17 and I |

emerged ueagle-atm which contains the firmware for the modem and |

installs it in /lib/firmware |

But dmesg shows me the error : |

[UEAGLE-ATM] firmware is not available |

despite all my efforts, I wasn't able to figure out where the problem |

is. Is it hotplug related ? I have no hotplug.conf file in my /etc tree |

where I could tell where the firmwares are to be searched. |

If you have an advice or an idea that could help me ... |
