1 Sorry, I'm still on alsa-1.0.9 and with 2.6.13 newer alsa with changed
2 drivers came.

4 BTW, if what you do does not work, you can try to disable alsa in kernel
5 (leaving only general sound support) and emerge alsa-driver
6 It is stil at 1.0.9b for amd64 and will install old drivers. They did
7 work for me with 2.6.13, although currently I'm back to 2.6.11
