Nice for You ... I am struggling since weeks.

I have an ASUS A8N-SLI Mobo with an AMD64 X2 3800+ and 2 Gig of memory (1 Gig dedicated for my Xen Dom0)

At first nothing did very well.
Since I am running a dual boot system with BIOS RAID-1 (Sil 3114 SATA-II) controller I need a Initrd in order to initialize the RAID-1 utilizing the dmraid tool.

The initrd build with genkernel made lots of trouble thanks to udev77 whith which it ships (i had to go down to udev 71 in order to get udev compiled with klibc _and_ ARCH=xen).

In this configuration Dom0 boots well, but Xend does not. Only afer a restart of xend the xm tool could connect to xend. So i decided to go for an initrd without udev.
I build my own one only containing a minimum statically linked busybox and the staticaly linked dmraid tool.
This initrd boots perfectly the xen Dom0 and my 2.6.15 kernel if i like to.
Now xend runs instanteanously and xm is able to connect to xend.

All scsi, ethernet, sata, raid etc modules required are no modules but compiled into the dom0 and domU kernel.

But I do not get a DomU running with it's disks on a file ( disk = [ 'file:<absolute path to a file which points to a realy existing file which is mountable via loop device>,sda1,rw' ])
It complains 1st not to find a console tty (??!?) and 2nd no device to boot at all.

I've tried to boot the DomU with an initrd in order to get a busybox shell --> same complaints.

Now I've downloaded an 2.6.16-rc20 trial via the mercurial tools (compiles and boots ok) and do not find the appropriate xend for it

But I'll not give up as I've gone so far.
