I've solved that by running /sbin/generate-modprobe.conf manually (from
modules-update) :
sudo /sbin/generate-modprobe.conf
modprobe: Invalid line 125 in /etc/modules.conf
        modprobe
Failed to to run modprobe. Giving up.
well, I've removed that modprobe and it's working now. Might be my fault.

tried, didn't helped. I don't know why there wasn't an error with modprobe
command in /etc/modules.d/xxxx

all done.

My problem is alsa's dmix. As you could see from my first email,
I have two cards and everything is dmixed to hw:0,0, which is Audiophile
2496.
It was worked before (gentoo-sources-2.6.15-gentoo-r5 and sooner), but
stops with r7.
