Hi folks, |
2 |
|
3 |
I've been trying to get DRI working for my Matrox G550 with XOrg 6.8.2-r6 |
4 |
and gentoo-sources-2.6.13-r4m using x11-drm-20050807 as described by the |
5 |
Gentoo hardware 3d acceleration guide. |
6 |
|
7 |
The problem seems to have to do with DMA: |
8 |
(II) MGA(0): [drm] installed DRM signal handler |
9 |
(II) MGA(0): [DRI] installation complete |
10 |
(EE) MGA(0): [drm] Failed to initialize DMA! (-1007) |
11 |
(II) MGA(0): [drm] removed 1 reserved context for kernel |
12 |
(II) MGA(0): [drm] unmapping 8192 bytes of SAREA 0xffffc20000039000 at 0x2aaaadf41000 |
13 |
(==) MGA(0): Direct rendering disabled |
14 |
|
15 |
For more details see the attached XOrg log. |
16 |
|
17 |
These are the steps I have taken: |
18 |
1) checked that drm is disabled in kernel and that mtrr are enabled |
19 |
2) checked that /dev/misc/agpgart and /dev/dri/card0 are available |
20 |
|
21 |
Any ideas oder pointers? |
22 |
|
23 |
Thanks in advance, |
24 |
Peter |
