Hi, try http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk_Download

Download the linux statically compiled binaries and save them in any place 
where you can access them in case of an emergency like this. Since they are 
statically linked they will work almost under every cicumstance.

Its a pretty intuitive text interface. They worked for me in a lot of 
ocassions. Never caused trouble. Of course, that is just my experience, not a 
guarantee.
