404 Not Found is an http server error message. Its presence says that |
| 11 |
localhost is indeed alive, there is a server listening on port 631. |

The server is saying that it cannot find (or generate) the default page |
| 13 |
that it should return. |

Assuming that the server is cupsd, check your cups configuration files and |
| 16 |
that all of cups' files are still present. Possibly re emerge cups to be sure. |
