I've been upgrading profile 2004.3 to 2005.0 using
/usr/portage/profiles/default-linux/amd64/2005.0/scripts/2004.3-
2005.0upgrade.sh
As usual, portage can't find the ebuilds required and I've been downloading
them manually.
I'm up to gentoo-headers which is failing with:
--
>>> md5 src_uri ;-) linux-2.6.11.tar.bz2
>>> md5 src_uri ;-) linux-2.6.11-m68k-headers.patch.bz2
>>> md5 src_uri ;-) gentoo-headers-2.6.11-5.tar.bz2

* This version of linux-headers does not support i386_64.
* Please merge the appropriate sources, in most cases
* this will be i386_64-headers.

!!! ERROR: sys-kernel/linux-headers-2.6.11-r2 failed.
!!! Function setup_headers, Line 358, Exitcode 0
!!! incorrect headers

I've tried googling for "I386_64_headers" and "version linux-headers support
i386_64" without finding anything relevant.
I got the ebuild, digest, etc from
http://ftp.belnet.be/linux/gentoo-portage/sys-kernel/linux-headers
which has worked well for other packages so far.
According to
http://packages.gentoo.org/search/?sstring=linux-headers
the latest stable amd64 version is 2.6.11-r2 so I'm confused as to why this
would be unsuitable.

I'm a complete newbie to Linux & Gentoo, although I've been able to solve a
large number of problems by googling.
