9 FWIW... that's one reason nearly all the books I buy now are O'Reilly.
10 While where appropriate they include a chapter or two on the closed
11 platforms side, they include FLOSS platforms as well and the book as a
12 whole tends to be platform neutral, discussing perl or python or C or C++
13 or whatever it might be, with notes one way or the other as appropriate.
