AFAIK .img doesn't really refer to a specific file-format, it is usually |

used as a file-extension for raw images of floppies and hard disks. |

Maybe running file(1) on it ("file foo.img") will reveal what it really |

is? There's probably a good chance it is actually a .iso file and you |

can simply rename it. |

Assuming you're interested in burning the image and if it is one of |

... a conversion program might help you. You can find them by running |
