Hardware raid generally provides better performance than software, so I |

would go with that. It's not uncommon for the configuration of on-board |

controllers to be done in the bios, so if the options are there, the |
21 |
setup for your hardware raid should be done there. |

The correct drivers will probably not be on the install disk - a bit of |
23 |
googling should help you work out what's right there. |

It will boot, as long as the bios is correctly configured to boot from |

the raid device. |
