16 I upgraded from 2.6.15-r3 to 2.6.16-r7 yesterday. I have sound - had to
17 do an update-modules as welli. I have not seen either issue. But, Michal's
18 problem with sound is probably because of the system not being able to
19 generate /etc/modprobe.conf.

21 Perhaps deleting (move the original out of /etc) and re-trying it?
