Hi Gentoo users,

Many of you might have noticed that new file has shown up in
/usr/portage/profiles called use.desc

This file contains a list of valid USE flags that you can add to or
subtract from your personal USE list in /etc/make.conf

For the hardware flags, please note:

There is a new use flag called "matrox" which replaces the old "mga" flag.
The "3dfx" flag is important if you have a 3dfx card. Moreover if you
have a Voodoo 3 (ONLY) then set the "voodoo3" flag as well.

Also note that the mhash, mcrypt, and gpg settings have all been replaced
by a single "crypt" flag.

For the framebuffer people, the flags "fbcon" (for framebuffer-console)
and "directfb" provide that support where appropriate.

The "avi" flag has been there for a while now, but now there is an "mpeg"
flag as well.

Additionally, you'll notice your default flags now contain "gif", "jpeg"
and "png" for supporting those image types.

And, finally, "ogg" and "vorbis" flags have been combined into the single
"oggvorbis" flag, but that has been in effect for a while.

Thanks,
