1	Doesn't the livecd/bootargs work for you? From what I see in the code,
2	ppc has (at least) the following boot args:

4	default_append_line="root=/dev/ram0 init=/linuxrc ${cmdline_opts}
5	${custom_kopts} cdroot"

7	Where cmdline_opts has everything you put in livecd/bootargs I think.
