When catalyst was designed, nobody thought about running it as a |

non-root user. Well, I'm interested in adding support for running as a |

non-root user. The problem we're definitely going to face is device |

node creation. I've spoken with solar about using fakeroot and it is |

something that we would like to pursue for the next catalyst |

incarnation. Of course, we want catalyst to use fakeroot/chroot based |

on catalyst.conf settings, so we can't just replace the current code. |

This is a planned feature for the catalyst 2.1 branch, but it hasn't |

been started yet, so it'll be some time before we get to this point. |
