I've added nessusd with livecd/rcadd but when I load the livecd it |
2 |
fails to start because it is missing configuration files. |
3 |
|
4 |
This is the error it gives: |
5 |
hackbox root # /etc/init.d/nessusd start |
6 |
grep: /etc/nessus/nessusd.conf: No such file or directory |
7 |
* No certificate found. |
8 |
|
9 |
It seems the /etc/nessus directory is empty. |
10 |
|
11 |
I'm not entirely sure but it seems most of the package /etc/dirs are |
12 |
empty. For some reason default config files did not get copied over or |
13 |
stage2 emptied them. Unfortunately I cant seem to find why. |
14 |
|
15 |
|
16 |
I'm aware that that a filesystem overlay can be used and I have tried |
17 |
to do that but I must be doing something wrong. |
18 |
|
19 |
I dont exactly understand the difference with: |
20 |
#livecd/overlay: /root/catalyst/overlay |
21 |
#livecd/root_overlay: /root/catalyst/overlay |
22 |
|
23 |
Also, what exactly is supposed to be stored in /root/catalyst/overlay. |
24 |
Is it a directory? A text config file? Shrug. |
25 |
|
26 |
|
27 |
Any suggestions would help. Or if anyone has successfully got Nessusd |
28 |
the config files would be really helpful. |
