30 referred to herein as the "Licensers"). Julius was funded by the
31 Advanced Information Technology Program Project of
32 Information-technology Promotion Agency (IPA), Japan for three years
33 since 1997.

35 The Licensers reserve the copyright thereto. However, as long as you
36 accept and remain in strict compliance with the terms and conditions
37 of the license set forth herein, you are hereby granted a royalty-free
38 license to use "Large Vocabulary Continuous Speech Recognition Engine
39 Julius" including the source code thereof and the documentation
40 thereto (collectively referred to herein as the "Software"). Use by
41 you of the Software shall constitute acceptance by you of all terms
42 and conditions of the license set forth herein.

44 TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF LICENSE

46 1. So long as you accept and strictly comply with the terms and
47 conditions of the license set forth herein, the Licensers will not
48 enforce the copyright or moral rights in respect of the Software, in
49 connection with the use, copying, duplication, adaptation,
50 modification, preparation of a derivative work, aggregation with
51 another program, or insertion into another program of the Software or
52 the distribution or transmission of the Software. However, in the
53 event you or any other user of the Software revises all or any portion
54 of the Software, and such revision is distributed, then, in addition
55 to the notice required to be affixed pursuant to paragraph 2 below, a
56 notice shall be affixed indicating that the Software has been revised,

85 including but not limited to any warranty or guaranty with respect to
86 quality, performance, merchantability, fitness for a particular
87 purpose, absence of defects, or absence of infringement of copyright,
88 patent rights, trademark rights or other intellectual property rights,
89 trade secrets or proprietary rights of any third party. You and every
90 other user of the Software hereby acknowledge that the Software is
91 licensed without any warranty or guaranty, and assume all risks
