I have a machine that I recently installed, and I'm having trouble |
2 |
getting grub to boot up using the grub.conf. The machine loads straight |
3 |
into the grub shell. From there I can type the root, kernel, and boot |
4 |
commands and get the system booted just fine, but I can't seem to get it |
5 |
to use the grub.conf file. The grub.conf file is located in /boot/grub/ |
6 |
and is basically just: |
7 |
|
8 |
default 0 |
9 |
timeout 10 |
10 |
|
11 |
title Gentoo |
12 |
root (hd0,0) |
13 |
kernel /boot/vmlinuz root=/dev/sda3 |
14 |
|
15 |
That's it. It works on two of my other systems, but this one makes me |
16 |
type the commands manually. Any ideas? Thanks! |
