Evolution 2.8.2.1 has developed the habit of crashing when I start it up |
2 |
in mail mode. I get: |
3 |
|
4 |
$ evolution |
5 |
CalDAV Eplugin starting up ... |
6 |
** (evolution-2.8:10625): DEBUG: mailto URL command: evolution --component=mail %s |
7 |
** (evolution-2.8:10625): DEBUG: mailto URL program: evolution |
8 |
|

(evolution-2.8:10625): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_layout_set_hadjustment: assertion `GTK_IS_LAYOUT (layout)' failed |
10 |

11 |
(evolution-2.8:10625): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_layout_set_vadjustment: assertion `GTK_IS_LAYOUT (layout)' failed |

|
13 |
... and no window. If I run it under strace, it looks like evolution |
14 |
segfaults, or some component or library it's using segfaults. I've |
15 |
re-emerged evolution but the problem remains. |
16 |
|
17 |
If I start evolution with --component=calendar it comes up OK and I can |
18 |
switch to mail mode _most of the time_ although one out of ten times or |
19 |
so this also causes it to crash. If evolution is already running and I |
20 |
start it in mail mode, it starts just fine - no DEBUG notices, no |
21 |
Gtk-CRITICAL notices and no crash. |
22 |
|
23 |
I probably need to re-emerge something, somewhere, but have no idea |
24 |
where to start to address this. Any advice would be appreciated. |
