The Portage developer team would like to encourage more users to use
portage-9999, i.e., Portage's live ebuild [1], as their daily driver.

We therefore invite (advanced) users to unmask and install
portage-9999 on non-critical systems. Every participant increases the
chance of uncovering bugs before a release, providing a benefit for
the entire Gentoo ecosystem. However, due to the crucial part of
Portage, using a new unstable version of Portage may require complex
recovery strategies. Therefore, we only ask people who feel confident
in their abilities to participate and report bugs.

1: friendly reminder that app-portage/smart-live-rebuild is a great tool
    to manage live ebuilds
