I am currently proposing a significant network and system project to a |

potential client in the financial services industry. Besides an M$ server |

to run some proprietary applications, my solution is primarily Open Source |

and using Gentoo Linux (of course :) There is no doubt in my mind that my |

solution is the best way to go about the project. However, the client has |
| 6 |
asked for some references in two areas: |

1. IT consulting firms in the North Eastern US that support and implement |
| 9 |
Open Source/Linux solutions. |
| 10 |
|
| 11 |
2. Fortune 100 or even 500 companies in the financial services industry |
| 12 |
that use Open Source/Linux solutions successfully. |
| 13 |
|
| 14 |
If anyone has any information in this area, please let me know. I think it |
| 15 |
would be helpful for the list as well. |
