14 As an end user of Gentoo, I may not care about "contributing to
15 upstream"; I just want the software to compile and install.

17 As has been previously stated, people who care can add -Werror to
18 their own CFLAGS.

20 It's quite a bit harder for a user to remove -Werror from the build
21 system, assuming they can even interpret the error output.
