how does one go about contributing to the project?
(other than submitting bugs)

What are the guide lines for assimilating new 
developers? I, and my workplace are very interested
in seeing this distro succeed, as it is being considered
as being used as the internal development distro. Our only
other option that we are seriously considering is LFS.
