I use the "-march=athlon-tbird" flag and never noticed this or any other |

problem. |

I had gcc-3.1.1 installed and recompiled glibc-2.2.5 without any major |

issue. I now have gcc-3.2 installed with glibc-2.2.5 and still have no |

problem. When I upgrade gcc I normally like to recompile all libraries |

and most applications. |

By the looks of this, this issue may only show when compiling with the |

"i686" flag. |
