18 Yeah, that would ensure two things:

20 1/ a seamless collision (postgresql which installed pg_config depending
21 on libpq that now installs its own copy)

23 2/ a nicely borked postgresql for people who installed 8.0.9 which
24 allowed them to upgrade their libpq to incompatible 8.1.5; the
25 dependency is ~{PV} now for obvious reasons)
