1 Not directly out of the box. You would have to recompile the kernel and
2 choose the proper options in the ide devices section. Kernel's post 2.4.7
3 have support for both promise fasttrack and the highppoint controllers (I
4 have the fasstrack, and the drivers work better than the binary ones from
5 promise). Dunno if you can get them to hold / and boot directly off them.

7 If you want support directly out of the box, you'd have to swap out the
8 kernel in either the iso, boot flooppies, or your current linux installation
9 (if you have one) which you would chroot from.
