Howdy. I just installed Gentoo a few days ago and I am *totally* |

impressed! Previously I have been using debian/redhat/slack, but after |

discovering Gentoo, I think I have finally found a home. |

I'd like to get more involved with gentoo's development. Specifically, I |

would like to package java related stuff (eg. Jboss, other app servers, |
| 8 |
misc lib jars etc.). I guess I would learn to package stuff up locally |

initially. Could someone point me in the right direction for newbie |
| 10 |
maintainer docs etc. perhaps a tutorial? So far I have been reading |
| 11 |
through the ebuild files in portage to get an idea. |
