1 And failed on 2 goes for me, two different installs for me so far.
2 First one I cant remember, but the one yesterday hung soon after failing
3 to reallocate root filesystem (or similar)

5 Deleted some thing I shouldnt have soon after, so am now reinstalling
6 and will have another go.

8 Also not really sold on the idea of auto detecting everything on bootup
9 for a working system. Seems slow to boot (as far as it went) and has a
10 lot of cruft attached (unused modules, kernel options etc). If you go
11 the menuconfig route, you may as well do it all by hand, and remove the
12 possiblity of initrd problems.

14 Also, does compiling in the LiveCD gui window (blue) seem much-much
15 slower than a normal tty to others? Took 36hours to do bootstrap on a
16 K6-500, but emerge system seems quite fast now I switched to a normal
17 console.
