1. Download the distfiles directory contents from one of |

the mirrors. Burn it to CD-ROM(s). |

2. Install Gentoo using one of the ISO images as you would |

normally. |

3. Boot into your basic Gentoo installation. |

4. Mount the CD you created in step one to the distfiles |

directory. |

(mount /dev/cdroms/cdrom0 /usr/portage/distfiles) |

5. Continue following the installation instructions. |
