being fed up of starting wvdial as root, i found that |

an ordinary user, though in group dialout, can't use wvdial |

properly, because of lack of permissions for /var/lock. |

by default it is root.uucp |

i changed it to root.dialout, |
| 8 |
but i assume that's not the best way to solve the problem... |

any suggestions ? |
