[gentoo-dev] gads this takes forever

I officially just gave up on Gentoo.  It just takes way too long to
compile everything.  Although it was a good experience to compile
everything from scratch, I'm afraid I just don't have the patience.  I
just compiled kde for three hours and it spit out an error at the end.
Really frustrating.
