This distribution is one of those that supports almost anything given you read |
2 |
the docs and have sufficient experience with the type of hardware (and as a |
3 |
part of this installing necessary drivers) you want it run on. This is |
4 |
provided by the distribution not using any fancy installer but instead just |
5 |
dropping you to command prompt as soon as possible. |
6 |
Thus, PLEASE READ *CAREFULLY* INSTALL DOCS and you should have no trouble. |
7 |
Quite a few of SCSI drivers are included on install CD for you to modprobe |
8 |
them. Even if you happen to use really rare/weird hardware which is not |
9 |
included in standard or gentoo kernells you still should be able to install |
10 |
on such system, as long as you can get necessary drivers by whatever means |
11 |
possible (please consult FAQ, alternative install guide + search mail |
12 |
archives in such a situation). |
13 |
|
14 |
BTW, this question is better suited for gentoo-user mailing list. |
