Hi Shanon |
2 |
|
3 |
You can really help by taking a look at the existing bugs. I was going to |
4 |
point you to bugs.gentoo.org, but I see you already know about it. To see |
5 |
unassigned bugs just query for "bug-wranglers" in "assigned to" field. |
6 |
(create special query if you do this often). |
7 |
|
8 |
You can similarly search for your topics of interest and propose your help to |
9 |
the assignee of the bug you got interested in. Most of us have tons of bugs |
10 |
assigned and quite a few of non-crytical ones typically sit waiting to be |
11 |
handled. I am sure nobody will object to you proposal to test and clean-up a |
12 |
new submission for example. |
13 |
|
14 |
Another area where you can help is testing. If you are interested in this you |
15 |
can announce your intention here and on #gentoo channel on |
16 |
irs.openprojects.net. You should probably also get in touch with Damon Conway |
17 |
<kabau@g.o> (who recently announced an intention to do regular QA |
18 |
testing) or Seemant Kulleen <seemant@g.o> (who is our general |
19 |
"workforce" coordinator, hi Seemant ;)). You can talk to them on #gentoo |
20 |
directly. |
21 |
Independently of this you can talk to Seemant on #gentoo, hi may suggest the |
22 |
areas where your help is the most appreciated. |
23 |
