4 an easy way to do it is to create a folder in /etc, called portage
5 (/etc/portage) and in that folder, create a file called
6 'package.unmask' (/etc/portage/package.unmask) with the following content:
7 sys-apps/portage

9 this will ensure that you get the latest portage package.
