8 Achim simply described a workaround if you want to use 2.4.4-ac5. If you're
9 happy with 2.4.4 (as I am), simply do this:

11 # cd /usr/portage/sys-apps/linux-sources
12 # emerge linux-source-2.4.4-r4.ebuild

14 You'll then find a nice new source tree in /usr/src/linux-2.4.4 (the
15 /usr/src/linux symlink will be updated to point to this directory).

17 Additional stuff like alsa will be in the /usr/src/linux-2.4.4/extras directory.
