I emerge xmms about a week ago, and it's worked great once I got the audio |

working on my laptop. |

Yesterday I tried to emerge the eq-xmms plugin, and it kept failing because it |

didn't know where to find xmms's "Effect" directory. I had to manually untar, |
| 8 |
./configure with a --libdir switch, and install it, but then any time I tried |
| 9 |
to use the new equalizer plugin, take my time to adjust 25 channels, listen to |
| 10 |
a few tunes then exit xmms, something in the config file got corrupted because |
| 11 |
xmms would segfault trying to start up after that; deleting the |
| 12 |
/home/user/.xmms/config file was the only thing that helped. |
