Hello everyone,

I've finally committed this. If you don't want to get into details or are
unsure what I'm talking about, just remember to restart kde after the next
time you emerge a kde app. This will propagate the new settings into your
environment.

- --- Details: ---

Briefly, 3rd party KDE apps (anything outside the kde-base category) now
install into /usr. This change is trasparent and painless, except that you'll
have to restart KDE to get the new environment settings that will allow kde
apps installed in /usr to run. These settings are from the kde-base/kde-env
package, which every kde app now depends on.

Apps installing into /usr also get a SLOT value of 0, instead of the old
default of 3 (for kde3 apps). This means emerge clean won't remove the old
versions installed in /usr/kde/3; you have to do it explicitly. Sorry about
the inconvinience, but we believe it's better than the alternative.

Enjoy!

BTW, KDE 3.0.3 and 3.1_beta1 will both be released sometime during the next
week. kde-cvs users: I'm releasing a new tarball which has a lot of
accumulated fixes, but which had to wait for this eclass update.
